An appraisal for the Gods on Tumpak Wesi day celebration @ Bali - summer of 2009
Pingin tau caranya memberkati motor anda? ikuti terus liputan saya ‘halah’ Continue reading
waiting for the sunset @ Dreamland, Uluwatu, Bali - Summer 2009
Errrr….. I’m still trying to finish this summer report so let’s continue the journey now (n_n)
At one beautiful day among the summer in Denpasar, me and Anna decided to visit the beaches at Uluwatu. After get our breakfast, we packed our clothes and water inside my backpack, re-fuell the motorbike and we’re back on the road. We’re passing the mainstreet from Renon to Denpasar, then aimed down to the south at the edge of the city. The street towards Uluwatu is an up-hill one, definetelly really hot and tanned my skin at that moment but with tremendous view of the kapuk trees along the side ways that ready to be harvest. Passing GWK gate we still climb up again, stop at the bridge to enjoy the view of Padang-padang beach then go up again to Blue Point beach. On our way, I’ve seen a few backpacker cottages in some spot with bunch of surfer hangin on the small café. One thing for sure, it’s kinda difficult to go to this place with a public transportation since I don’t see any, most of the tourist usually rode a motorbike or car rent.
Independence day @ Sanur, Sindhu beach, Bali - summer 2009
Sanur is still one of my favorite places to go like what I’ve been wrote in here. I could spend hours just to walk with my barefoot on the sand for hours or walking along the sidewalk enjoying the afternoon breeze which I expect could help me clear the clouds inside my head. I could spend times just to sit and zippin a cup of instant coffee from the 24 hours shop at the Sindhu Beach watching the sunlight disappear slowly into a starry night with the ciggy on my hands. People marching along the lampions and full of candles sidewalk’s café choosing menu for their dinner. The people, the beach, the playfull children with their dogs, the boats, the traditional ceremony…. you can find that all in there at Sanur along with the fresh fishy smelly ocean that I love. Enjoy the pic!
Fakir bandwidth, beware yeee (n_n)
A part of the finger print painting of a balinesse dancer - Bali
During the holiday, I stayed at Anna’s place, an old high school friend who lives around Renon. The next day after I get enough rest, I walk along Hayam Wuruk street trying to enjoy the summer sun but when it got too hot I hide myself into Togamas bookstore and grab ‘A witch from Portobello, one of Paul Coelho’s book – haish I just cant get away from book huh. I also contact another long time no see blogger friend, Bowo which kindly enough to accompany me to Sanur that afternoon. While waiting for Bowo, I was tempting to visit the Finger Print Painting Museum beside the Togamas bookstore. There is no ticket fee to enter the museum so people could enter the museum freely but they provide a donation box for all the people who wants to donate to support the museum.
the top of Bajra Sandhi monument with the Japanesse adenium - Bali, Summer of 2009
It took less than 10 minutes by motorbike from Ubung bus station to Bajra by motorbike that morning. The sky is so bright bright but full of clouds so hardly to see the clear blue sky at that time. I look around for the 10K runners but I was come too late, the 10K competition has already started since early in the morning at the same time when I arrive at Gilimanuk port. Call some of friends who told me they join the running session but it seems they leave the cellphone at home or has brought to the ER after the run secara denger ceritanya ada yang ikutan lomba sambil kebelet pipis, ada yang sengaja ninggalin hape biar ga nambah beban larilah, etece… etece….
So still with my backpack on my back I try to avoid the heat on the Bajra field by walking under the pinky flowers trees towards the museum gate.
Banyak photo, buat fakir benwith beware ya (n_n)
Sunrise @ Ketapang port, Summer holiday of 2009
The next morning after a heavenly sleep for couple of hours I took a fast shower and repack my backpack, get ready for the next destination which is Denpasar. I was thinking to stop at Surabaya but the train schedule will send me to Bali at midnite where I hardly get the transportation into Imoel’s house so this time I choose the bus to continue the trip and I’ll be arrived in the morning. I haven’t booked the ticket for the bus so I made a few phone call to makes sure I got the ticket and the customer service told me directly come to their bus agent at Janti. That morning, I have a spicy breakfast at one of Niar favorite spot, Warung Ibu Gendut which the distance is still around the corner of the house. The owner is a Balinesse borned in Java so the food is mixing between Javanesse menu with a Balinesse taste such as spicy scramble eggs, oseng buncis bumbu kuning – pedes juga, tempe mendoan yang lumayan unik karena ga setipis yang biasanya, sayur singkong, ayam bumbu kecap yang keliatan banget potongan cabe rawit merahnya, menu yang laen nda apal saya pokoknya sambel Balinya aseli – irisan cabe dan bawang. Anything spicy is yummy for me so its okay ^^
August 2009 fullmoon dari atep genteng kosan Niar, Yogyakarta, Canon powershot 2S IS
After a refreshing shower at Poo’s house, I stretch out my cramp feet, not long enough until Poo’s send me a short message. We’ll be out for lunch. So there I go again, walk out the alley and get into the main street where she’ll pick me up twice that morning. We stopped by for a while at Kanisius printing, passing through Gejayan street that I use to hang out using the bus route 10. The street is still looking so familiar though stores and restaurants lining along the way, make the street look crowded more than I can remember. The improvement of the city development were moving so fast for the last couple of years.
Beware buat fakir bandwidth ye ;p
pulang ke kota muuuuuu...... - Kla project
The summer journey start after I finish my third contract where I still have a few days from my annual leave plus two weeks leave noticed before I’m ready to sign another one. An exhausted world yet at the same time it is so enchanted with its complexity inside. You can say it’s a crazy world but it was also a comfort zone for the last couple of years. Hypnotizing me like a hibernated bear that lazy enough to move on, hahaha… that’s me. This year when my number reach 30, I have to change my priority and aimed at a better self improvement, concentrate much more in my career. I guess this effect me much than I could accept because I gotta re-numbered the things I really want to do, put aside some of my dreams that seems didn’t have the same path with the work line. Reality bites huh!
