One Day

Image

The charming cover (love the boots!!!) & the synopsis make me grab this book from the bookshelf in a corner of the airport on my journey home last month. One Day reminds us about how often we look for somewhere beyond while the right one might be close enough to reach, Its a story about Emma & Dexter, about friendship, love and how to coupe with the loss of your loved ones.

One Day – if you can rewind the part of your life, what would that be kah?

Nights in Rodanthe

Nicholas Sparks is known as a romantic writer and some of his book such as the Note Book, Walk to Remember, Message in a Bottle, including ‘Nights in Rodanthe” has been turn into a movie.

Well, I’ve got the book and I’ve watched the movie so I’m goin to write something about it. Honestly after watching the movie though Richard Gere and Diane Lane are charming, I must admit that the reading is more fun.

Saving Fish From Drowning – Amy Tan

Welkum to mai rak buku, fish (maksa!!).

Lian Hearn – Klan Otori “The Harsh Cry of the Heron”

Elizabet Browning – Sonnets from the Portuguesse

Caught my eyes to her poem, dari pada stress, mending kita baca puisi cinta nih biar hati adem gitu…. sambil ngayal sedikit boleh dong gubrak !!!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabeth_Barrett_Browning

Her most famous work is Sonnets from the Portuguese, a collection of love sonnets. By far the most famous poem from this collection, with one of the most famous opening lines in the English language, is number 43:

Elizabeth Barrett Browning

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

I love thee to the depth and breadth and height

My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight

For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.

I love thee to the level of everyday’s

Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.

I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;

I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.

I love thee with the passion put to use

In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.

I love thee with a love I seemed to lose

With my lost saints!—I love thee with the breath,

Smiles, tears, of all my life!—and, if God choose,

I shall but love thee better after death.

o0(^_^)0o Duh, jadi kangen deh….  *sok romantis mode on* sayangkuuu (huff huff) kau dimana ??? Aku padamu nyet…..

Suzanna Tamaro’s Book

I’ve just read the Suzanna Tamaro’s book that I bought at the Gramedia book store yesterday, I’ve just hangin around there trying to find some thick novel to spend my weekend… and suddently this book is there (its a thin book! dont know how I got hypnotized to it) hardly to remember the real title since its in Italian language bowww…
in English it was something like: Follow where your heart lead you
in Indonesian : Pergilah ke mana hati membawamu
but at the end i was glad that I found this one.

After reading the Indonesian version, I wish to find the english version……..(different language katanya different vision of life gituu… tapi kalo soal bahasa Itali bisa keriting otak gua, belom pernah ngeh seumur umur he he he….pizza, lasagna, mama mia…gitu gitu doang ngehnya nih…gawat)

Well at the end…its just a simple book with a lots of meaning, reminds us of our own life, about being honest to yourself for all the decision that you’ve made, that everything is happen for a reason, and that you always have an option in life though you might not always knows it.

Anyway different people means different point of view so….just take your time, make a cup of capuchino and relax before you open the first page…. good luck in reading guys!
